Our organization has taken steps to change the culture of dementia care that we offer. In accordance with the guidelines for Organization Designation provided by Positive Approach to Care® we are growing our team of PAC Certified Independent Professionals to guide learning and skills.

One-On-One
Our certified caregivers get to know each resident based on their life story. This allows the caregiver to best respond to their wants, needs, routines and preferences. Regular communication between a family member and the caregiver allows loved ones to stay informed and involved in the resident’s care and day-to-day life.

Activation
Memory Care at The Waterford offers a full calendar of activities seven days a week recognizing that new interests can still be developed, enjoyed and appreciated. Life enriching activities designed to stimulate and engage residents in living life along with exercise programs, music, art and pet therapy are provided.

Home-Like Environment
Small by design, Windsong encourages interaction and meaningful ‘family’ relationships between staff and residents. The neighbourhood features its own family room, activity area and family-style dining space. A beautiful country kitchen instills pleasant feelings of home where familiar sensations of fresh baked goods and home cooked meals fill the air.

Located on the 2nd floor of the Waterford Grand, Windsong offers beautifully appointed suites with abundant views and spacious dedicated social areas.
The crown jewel of Windsong at the Waterford Grand is the enclosed conservatory with expansive outdoor terrace with southern exposure and park views.
